Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data CricScoreBoard collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (used for login via OTP)
• Full name and username
• Phone number (optional)
• Date of birth and gender (optional)
• City / location (optional)
• Profile photo (optional)

Cricket Profile

• Playing role (Batsman, Bowler, All-rounder, etc.)
• Batting style and bowling style
• Match statistics (runs, wickets, matches played)

Match & Activity Data

• Matches created and scores recorded
• Ball-by-ball scoring data
• County match results and points
• Umpire registration details (if applicable)

Technical Data

• Device type (used for crash reporting)
• App usage patterns to improve performance

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your player profile
• To enable live match scoring and record history
• To calculate and display statistics and leaderboards
• To send login OTP codes to your email address
• To allow other players to find and challenge you (County mode)
• To enable umpire registration and booking features
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• We do NOT use your data for advertising or marketing

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.

We share data only with:

• Supabase (our database provider) — stores all app data securely. See supabase.com/privacy
• Google (if you use Google Sign-In) — only your email and name are accessed
• Law enforcement — only if legally required

4. Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure (hosted on AWS). We implement:

• Row Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own data
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Email OTP authentication — no passwords stored
• Regular security reviews of database access rules

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — view all information in your profile
• Edit your data — update your profile at any time
• Delete your account — permanently remove all your data
• Export your data — contact us to request a copy
• Withdraw consent — stop using the app and delete your account

6. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove:

• Your player profile and personal information
• All match records you created
• Your county player profile and points history
• Your umpire registration (if applicable)

7. Children's Privacy

CricScoreBoard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

• Login session token (to keep you signed in)
• Current striker/bowler selection per innings (SharedPreferences)

No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

9. Third-Party Services

CricScoreBoard uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Database and Authentication (supabase.com)
• Google Sign-In — Optional login method (policies.google.com)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
